Everything NBA The Run has confirmed is coming next — new players, the Summer Heat season, Ranked, and Campaign mode. Pulled from the studio's official roadmap; we update it as each piece actually ships.

  1. July 2026Shipped Jul 21

    Game update + 3 new NBA players

    Shipped July 21: the "is it feeling drafty in here?" tease resolved as the top of the 2026 draft class — AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer — plus the Block Party ruleset, an AI overhaul, and a balance pass.

    • +AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson & Cameron Boozer join the roster (Rank 25, 5,000 Cred)
    • +Block Party ruleset — blocks subtract from the opponent’s score (Common)
    • +AI overhaul, second steal nerf, and Jalen Brunson confirmed as the first 4-Crown player (Handles, Stamina, Aura went gold)
  2. August 2026Shipped Aug 10

    August update — leaderboards, Emoji Wheel & a real balance pass

    Not the season yet — but a chunk of its feature list landed early. Leaderboards and the comms wheel (shipped as the "Emoji Wheel") arrived Aug 10 with the biggest balance pass since launch.

    • +Leaderboards for KO Squads and KO Solos (wins, win %, trophies, blocks, dunks, threes)
    • +Emoji Wheel for comms (player-select lobby only, from what we can tell)
    • +Goaltending confirmed and curtailed (near-hoop dead zone extended, block jump height reduced) + third steal nerf
    • +Zone abilities reassigned: Giannis → Amped Up, LeBron → Dropping Dimes; six players' cards re-balanced
    • +2026–27 season jerseys (new looks, same teams) and Simplified Chinese localization
  3. September 2026Season 1

    "Summer Heat" — the season content, now teased for September

    The Aug 10 announcement re-scoped the season bundle to September: five NBA Legends, the remaining ruleset, and the NYC court — now named Dyckman Park.

    • +Five NBA Legends join the roster
    • +All the Fire ruleset (fire shots worth +1) — Block Party already shipped in July
    • +Dyckman Park court
    • +Practice Mode, Drive Camera, and a Championship Belt
  4. Later in 2026On the roadmap

    Ranked, Ladders & Voice Chat

    Competitive structure and team comms are both confirmed for later in the year, with a new season landing every 2–3 months through the fall.

  5. Spring 2027On the roadmap

    Campaign mode ("Game Time")

    A full Campaign mode, codenamed "Game Time," playable solo, online, or local.

Dates are the developer's stated targets and can move. When new players or rulesets land, they show up in the roster, tier list, and News here first. New mechanics get a test thread in The Lab.
