Hand Giannis a runway and the possession’s over. A 5 in dunks, 5 power, and 5 speed on a 6’11“ frame means he gets one step downhill and there’s no wall thick enough to stop him — he goes through the help, not around it. The rest of the sheet keeps up: 5 twos to finish through bodies, 5 rebounds and a 5 on guard with 4 blocks to wall off the paint on the other end. He even moves it like a guard, 5 handles and 5 passes, so doubling him just opens a lane for someone else.

The one soft spot is the jumper — 3 from deep. Pull him out past the arc and a lot of that pressure leaks out, so the spacing only works when there’s a real shooter pulling help away from the rim. Crowd the paint against a non-shooting Giannis and he gets stuck.

In the Zone: Amped Up. The August 10 patch moved him off Posterizer and onto the physical takeover — a boost to Speed, Stamina, Power, and Jump Height. On a card that already runs 5 speed, 5 power, and 5 stamina, that’s the scariest version of the swap: the freight train gets faster and stronger right when the Zone hits. Use the window the same way you use Giannis — downhill, through bodies — and let the jump-height bump turn contested boards and blocks into his too.

Run him with a knockdown shooter and a quick creator. Tyrese Maxey is the clean fit — his speed and passing feed Giannis on the move, and his perimeter shooting drags help out of the lane so the freight train has somewhere to go. Anyone carrying Deep Threat works the same way: stretch the floor, and Giannis eats.
