Barnes is the Swiss-army forward — there’s no one thing he can’t do, and the card backs it up. He fills it across the board: a 4 from deep, 4 handles, 4 passes, 4 on guard, and the size to throw all of it at any matchup. Pair that spread with 5 stamina and he’s the guy who initiates offense, switches every screen, and crashes the glass without coming off the floor. The teeth, though, are at the rim: 5 twos, 5 dunks, and a 5 on blocks. He finishes through contact going one way and walls it off going the other.
The hole is the swing skill. That 4 from three is fine, not scary, and at 3 steals he gambles less up top than the elite ball-hawks. He’s a connector who guards up, not a volume bucket — so the offense runs cleanest when there’s a knockdown shooter spacing the floor for him.
In the Zone: Paint Patrol. This is a rim-protection signature, and Barnes already has the 5 blocks to weaponize it. While it’s live his block rating climbs, his chance to posterize finishers jumps, and anyone he sends to the floor stays down 1.5x longer. Plant him in the lane before you pop it, then dare them to drive — every poster he hangs keeps a defender out of the play.
Run him with a true shooter to punish the help his drives draw, and a downhill creator he can feed out of the post. He’s the glue, so build the spacing and the scoring around him.
