What Posterizer does

Posterizer is the rim-pressure Zone Ability carried by the game’s most explosive finishers — Anthony Edwards, Zion Williamson and the rookie LeBron variant. (Giannis Antetokounmpo carried it from launch until the August 10, 2026 patch moved him to Amped Up.) When the carrier enters the Zone, Posterizer raises their Dunks rating and their chance to posterize, and stretches a posterized defender’s knockdown time to 1.5x — a slam doesn’t just score, it leaves the defender on the floor and out of the next play.

It is the offensive counter to a clogged lane. Rather than kicking the ball back out against help defense, the carrier attacks the rim and finishes through the contact, turning the other team’s interior protection into a liability.

How to use it

Activate Posterizer when you have a runway to the rim — transition breaks, a sealed help defender, or a switch onto a smaller guard are all prime windows. Drive straight into the contact rather than fading away; the ability rewards challenging the rim protector, and every poster you hang keeps that defender stunned and out of position. Spacing teammates with Deep Threat make this far easier by dragging help defenders out of the paint.

The In the Zone meter

Posterizer comes online through the carrier’s own In the Zone meter — each player charges theirs with their own play: tricks, dunks, dimes and buckets, with bigger highlight plays filling it faster (the Aura rating is that player’s personal charge rate). When the meter is full, activate the Zone with L3+R3 for roughly 30 seconds of boosted speed, power and stamina plus the signature ability. Position the carrier before you pop it — activating while they’re out of position or gassed wastes part of the window.
