Tatum is the squad piece with no soft spot to attack. A 5 from two and a 5 on guard headline a card that doesn’t dip below 3 anywhere — 4s stacked across threes, dunks, handles, passes, boards, speed, power and stamina. He scores at every level, defends his own position, and keeps the ball moving instead of stalling it. That balance is the whole pitch: there’s no matchup that breaks him, and no obvious lever for the defense to pull.

The closest thing to a weakness is the row of 3s — steals, blocks and aura all sit a notch under the rest, so he’s not jumping passing lanes, swatting shots or charging his Zone as fast as the card’s 4s and 5s suggest. And he’s not the kind of vertical threat who ends a possession at the rim by force. But with a clean 4 on dunks and handles, he gets where he wants; he just doesn’t bend the rim the way a maxed-dunk big does.

In the Zone: Going Off. Instead of sharpening one tool, it raises the whole toolbox — shooting, dunks, handles and passing all lift at once. Take away his jumper and he drives, sag off and he shoots, send help and he dishes. For a window there’s no wrong read, so stay aggressive and let the matchup pick the move.

Run him with Stephen Curry. Tatum’s passing keeps the ball flowing to a shooter who punishes every open inch, and his Zone stacks cleanly on top of Curry’s — one creates, the other cashes. Any rim-runner who eats off his dimes works too.
