LaMelo is a 6’7“ point guard who plays the game with the ball on a string and his head up. Maxed handles and maxed twos mean he gets where he wants and finishes inside the arc, but the real weapon is the passing — a 5 in passes feeding teammates off the break, plus a 4 from deep so the defense can’t sag off. The card crowns his aura, the only gold he wears, and that’s the tell: few on the roster fill the Zone meter faster. His showtime tempo literally charges the next signature.

The catch is right there in the middle of the sheet — 3 dunks, 3 power, 3 on guard. He’s a creator, not a bully. Crowd him with a physical guard and the finishing gets shaky, so he wants size and toughness around him.

In the Zone: Dropping Dimes. Pops his own passes and speed up, and any teammate who catches his feed and scores gets a Shots boost on the bucket. His crowned aura means his own meter fills at the maxed rate, so his takeover is usually the first one up — and when it fires, don’t hunt your own shot. Whip it ahead and let the finisher cash the boosted look.

Run him with a Deep Threat shooter to relocate behind the arc and a rim-running big to catch his lobs — feed either while Dropping Dimes is live and you stack two edges on one possession. A lockdown wing covers the defensive ground he gives back.
